Eagles packers play by play11/22/2023 ![]() Even if you’re not rooting for losses, it’s something important to keep in mind. They have a real chance to get up as high as No. 6 pick in the draft but they realistically have a chance to move up higher than that. If the season ended today, the Eagles would have the No. Sanders is the kind of back with the ability to rip off a long run at any time and Pederson is taking away his chances to do that. The problem with Pederson is that when the run isn’t working early, he just goes away from it. Wentz dropped back over 50 times! That’s way too much for a quarterback that’s struggling as much as he is. ![]() Sure, the Seahawks’ pass defense was seen as the bigger weakness but you’ve got to find a little more balance than that. On Monday, Miles Sanders got just six carries in a game that was pretty close for much of the evening. The problem, of course, is that Doug Pederson always seems to get away from the run too early. The Packers are giving up 4.6 yards per carry and a good running attack could potentially get the Eagles’ offense going and keep Aaron Rodgers off the field. The Eagles should try to do that again on Sunday. The Eagles piled up 176 yards on the ground that day against a Packers team that wasn’t very good against the run. The last time the Eagles played the Packers in Green Bay was Week 3 last year and they won that game behind a big running attack led by Jordan Howard and Miles Sanders. As Jason Kelce once said, “It’s the whole team!” And there have been times where all those problems aren’t problems and the receivers and running backs simply drop passes or Wentz misses them and we're back to Square 1. And sometimes Wentz holds the ball because his targets are either not open or in the wrong spot. The offensive line has contributed to the 46 sacks but it’s not all their fault either because Wentz holds the ball too long. ![]() Wentz definitely isn’t playing well - he’s been bad - but he’s not getting consistently good calls from his play-caller, who refuses to call balanced games. ![]() Who’s fault is it? Carson? Doug? The O-line? Receivers? Really, it’s a combination of everything, which is why it’s so tough to fix. Since the Eagles’ offense has been so bad, there’s a blame game going on in Philadelphia. The Eagles’ defense isn’t perfect but they’ve done a much better job than the offense. The Eagles have scored exactly 17 points in each of their last three games and are now averaging 21.5 points per game this season. Anytime you find yourself in the company of the Jets, you know things aren’t going very well. There are just two teams in the 2020 season that have failed to reach 30 points in a game: The Jets and the Eagles. Jalen Carter needs just one play to show why he's special ![]()
